I was born in Costa Rica, the fourth of thirteen children and the first of four sisters. I have a daughter, a son, and three grandchildren whom I love with all my heart. I arrived in the United States in 1989. Even though my first years here were very challenging because of the language, God was always there, giving me strength and motivation as I learned English as my second language.
My experience through the years has included speaking at women’s gatherings, retreats for young women, women’s services, individual Bible studies, and weekly Bible study series, both in the United States and in other countries.
My teaching often focuses on the cultural, historical, and practical aspects of the lives of women in both the Old and New Testaments. My desire is to help us understand their stories and apply God’s Word to our own normal, everyday lives, learning to walk in faith through difficult seasons just as many of them did.
Today, home is in Florida, where I live with my dear husband, Alan, who has always been a wonderful support in what I love to do most—serving God and others through ministry and more.
