Hands

Hands began many years ago from a simple thought. In this collection, we will look many ordinary people in the Bible that God used with different gifts, abilities, personalities, and responsibilities. And the actions of their hands became a big part of their stories.

Each card below opens a Hands article connected to a Bible person,

a Scripture, and the way God can still use our hands today.

Why Our Hands?

4 Sisters

God created our hands with incredible capabilities and placed His own amazing design on them. Each of our hands and each of our fingers has a unique identity, responsibility, and work to do. No two hands, two palms, or ten fingerprints are exactly the same in the whole world.

Our hands are full of emotional energy, expressions, and real meaning.

Our hands are not only part of our personal expression, but also part of our cultural identity. Human hand movements are a form of non-verbal communication, but they can show real meanings through words, phrases, actions, opinions, expressions, and service.

Our hands can speak the language of our minds, our hearts, and our bodies. Our hands can learn to connect with the cultures of the world when our mouths still have the limitations of language. Our hands can respond, hold, direct, adjust, support, and adapt to many different situations.

God created us with two hands, one to help the other do what is good and what is right. The hands give expression, support, and physical work. The fingers do the writing, pointing, performing, touching, and feeling. They are a magnificent work.

Our hands can give us an excellent view of the past, but they can also be part of the promise of working hard to prepare the future.

Definitions of personality, solutions to problems, expressions of passion, and tender love can all be shown through the hands. Directions, time, instructions, laws, prevention, functions, plans, and projects can also be explained through the hands.

Our hands may have some physical limitations, but not emotional or spiritual ones.

Let us open our hands around our own world and show who we are and what we can do. Holding hand to hand with the ones we love, care for, admire, and learn from, we can truly find and share what is joyful in life.

Let us extend our hands and learn to build unity from our own experiences, memories, marks, and scars of life that we all carry, opening our hearts and feeling together our unique human touch.

“I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”
